Indications:
Water loss due to various reasons, including hypotonic, isotonic and hypertonic water loss; Hypertonic nonketotic diabetic coma, isotonic or hypotonic sodium chloride can correct the water loss and hypertonic state; Hypochloric metabolic alkalosis; External use of normal saline to wash eyes, wash wounds, etc. It is also used for water sac induction in obstetrics.

Adverse Reaction:
1. Too much and too fast infusion can cause water and sodium retention, causing edema, elevated blood pressure, rapid heart rate, chest tightness, dyspnea, and even acute left heart failure.
2. Too much or too fast hypotonic sodium chloride can cause hemolysis and brain edema.

Note:
1. Use with caution in the following cases:
(1) edematous diseases, such as nephrotic syndrome, cirrhosis ascites, congestive heart failure, acute left heart failure, brain edema and idiopathic edema;
(2) acute renal failure oliguria phase, chronic renal failure reduced urine volume and poor response to diuretic drugs;
(3) hypertension;
(4) hypokalemia.
2. Check the concentration of sodium, potassium and chloride ions in serum according to clinical needs; Blood acid-base balance index, renal function, blood pressure and cardiopulmonary function.
