The product is provided as a white or off-white suspension
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTIONS:
The combination of penicillin G procaine and dihydrostreptomycin acts additive and in some cases synergistic Procaine penicillin G is a small-spectrum penicillin with a bactericidal action against mainly Gram-positive bacteria like Campylobacter, Clostridium, Corynebacterium, Erysipelothrix, Haemophilus, Listeria, penicil linase negative Staphylococcus and Streptococcus spp.
Dihydrostreptomycin is an aminoglycoside with a bactericidal action against mainly Gram- negative bacteria like E.coli, Klebsiella, Pasteurella, Salmonella and Staphylococcus spp.
INDICATIONS ·
Arthritis,mastitis and gastrointestinal,respiratory and urinary tract infection caused by penicillin and dihydrostreptomycin sensitive micro-organisms, like Campylobacter, Haemophllus,
Klebsiolla, Listeria, Pasteurella, Salmonella, and Staphylococcus spp., in calves, cattle, goats, sheep and swine.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
Hypersensitivity to penicillin and/or aminoglycosides.
Administration to animals with a serious impaired renal function. Concurrent adminlstration with tetracyclines, macrolides and lincosamides.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Administration of therapeutic dosages of penicilin G procaine can result in abortion in sows. Ototoxity, neurotoxicity or nephrotoxicity. Hypersensitivity reactions.
ADMINISTRATION & DOSAGE:
Subcutaneous or intramuscular route.Shake container well before use.
Catte, sheep, goats: 1ml per 10 kg bodyweight/day.
Swine: 2 ml per 10kg bodyweight/day.
Dogs: 2 ml per 10kg bodyweight/day.
This treatment must be given for 3 to 5 days.
WITHDRAWAL TIMES:
meat: 30 days. milk:3 days(6 milkings).
