Indications:
The Ciprofloxacin 500mg is indicated in infections caused by susceptible germs and liocated in the following sites germs: Respiratory tract (including anthrax), Ears and throat, Abdomen (including anthrax), Blood, Bones and Joints, Skin and soft tissues, Gall bladder, Eyes.
Contra-indications:
(1) Gastrointestinal reactions are more common and can be manifested as abdominal discomfort or pain, diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting.
(2) Central nervous system reactions may include dizziness, headache, lethargy or insomnia.
(3) Allergic reaction: rash, skin itching, occasionally can occur exudative erythema multiforme and angioneurotic edema. A few patients have photosensitivity.
(4) Occasionally can occur:
a. Seizures, mental abnormalities, irritability, confusion, hallucinations, tremors;
b.  Hematuria, fever, rash and other manifestations of interstitial nephritis;
c.  Crystalline urine, more common in high dose application;
d.  Joint pain.
e.  A small number of patients may have increased serum aminotransferase and blood urea nitrogen and decreased peripheral blood image white blood cells, mostly mild and transient.
Dosage:
Take it orally.
(1) Normal adult dosage: 0.5 ~ 1.5g (2~6 tablets) per day, divided into 2~ 3 times.
(2) Bone and joint infection: 1 ~ 1.5g (4~6 tablets) a day, divided into 2 ~ 3 times, the course of treatment is 4~6 weeks or longer.
(3) Pneumonia and skin and soft tissue infection: 1 ~ 1.5g (4~6 tablets) a day, divided into 2 ~ 3 times, the course of treatment is 7 ~ 14 days.
(4) Intestinal infection: 1g (4 tablets) a day, divided into 2 times, the course of 5 to 7 days.
(5) Typhoid fever: 1.5g (6 tablets) a day, divided into 2 to 3 times, treatment of 10 to 14 days.
(6) Urinary tract infection: acute simple lower urinary tract infection, 0.5g (2 tablets) a day, divided into 2 times, the course of 5 to 7 days; Complicated urinary tract infection, 1g (4 tablets) a day, divided into 2 times, the course of treatment 7-14 days.
(7) Simple gonorrhea: a single oral dose of 0.5g (2 tablets).
Precautions & Warning:
It is contraindosed in patients allergic to this product and quinolones.
Treatment/antidote in The Event of Overdose:
Symptoms: Neurologic symptoms, including convulsions. Treatment: Both ampicillin and sulbactam may be removed by hemodialysis.
